Hand woven or Hand painted?
This gorgeous-looking silk scarf was woven on Ashford Rigid heddle loom. Inspired by Radhika Anand who discovered this lovely effect when we mix one regular spun silk yarn with one thick & thin silk yarn in the warp, we set up the loom with Silk yarn 20/2 in Purple opulence & Thick & thin slub silk yarn Royal blue: both yarns together in each slot and each hole on a 12.5 DPI reed. The weft yarns were regular Silk yarn 20/2 in deep coral red & Dry rose, alternating each other.
