Object of Desire

Cashmere, the ultra-soft, ultra-light, ultra-luxury fibre of the world! The anglicized version of ‘Kashmir’, the cashmere scarf, also known as pashmina has been and continues to be the choice of connoisseurs across the world.

The shawls were made famous in Europe by none other than Napolean Bonaparte, who gifted a beautiful one to his wife Josephine and she flaunted it and made everyone crave for one!

Recently, we wove a pashmina neck scarf on Ashford Rigid Heddle loom with 2 heddles to create a beautiful diamond pattern. Because of its softness and cloud-like hairiness, the diamonds look muted and soft without a cutting edge.

What better than a hand-woven pashmina scarf for your dear ones to sweep them off the floor?

We carry cashmere yarns in gorgeous shades to weave pashmina scarves in Rigid Heddle and multi-shaft looms. Set up your loom and weave the object of desire! If you want to learn how to set up your Rigid Heddle loom to weave the diamond pattern, please write to us and we will be happy to send you the instructions and guidelines.

Time to woo the Josephines in your life!
