Repurposing a warp
We had this warp going on AVL compuDobby loom. A summer and winter draft for a woven greeting card project. After finishing the project, we realized there was a meter or so of the delicious warp in mercerised cotton 20/2 still left on the loom. So, we decided to do a quick small project with this warp. Sitting in front of the computer and playing around with summer & winter drafts on WeavePoint software, we could ‘draw’ some interesting figurines, but when we converted them to a lift plan, it was asking for more than 8 shafts! After some iterations in the WeavePoint, we could ‘arrive’ at acceptable shapes & drafts for the 8 shaft loom that we have!
