Rhythmic dance of creation- by Priyavarshini Thiruselvam

My introduction to SAORI loom was through a training workshop I attended for the design department at my school. I instantly fell in love with it and knew there was no turning back. I decided to take a personal SAORI weaving workshop during the summer break, and it truly enriched my life in ways I couldn't have imagined.

The workshop was a captivating experience. The SAORI loom stood amidst vibrant threads, each one holding the potential for a unique story. I was filled with curiosity and excitement as I began exploring the intricacies of weaving under the passionate guidance of the Shuttles and Needles family. The loom became an extension of myself, allowing me to express my creativity and emotions.

In the realm of SAORI, there were no boundaries or constraints. As I wove, I felt a deep connection to the traditions and craftsmanship of the art form. It became a meditative journey, revealing fragments of my own story interwoven with the experiences of others.

I was drawn to SAORI's liberation and self-expression. It taught me that true artistry lies in embracing our unique creative spirit and finding beauty in simplicity.

SAORI changed the way I viewed art, design, and life itself. It showed me the power of imperfections, the courage to explore new creative territories, and the profound impact art can have on our hearts and souls. The memories of SAORI will forever guide me as I continue my creative journey, reminding me to surrender to the rhythmic dance of creation.

My heartfelt thanks to a space like Shuttles and Needles where dreams are woven and passions collide.

"With Shuttles and Needles, you weave magic so true. Forever grateful for the artistry I found in you."
