Shoe lace weaving on Inkle loom
Isn’t it boring to tie the same old black, brown or some sober shoelaces every day? Why not add some pep to the shoelace?
Inkle Loom is such a wonderful find! You can weave beautiful straps, belts and bands in beautiful patterns and colours and also weave tubular (yes, you heard it right) or flat shoe laces. Easy-peasy!
After trying to weave with different yarns, we settled for mercerised cotton 5/2, as it seems to be the perfect yarn for shoe laces. Quick to set up the Inkle loom to weave shoe laces. Just 15 warp threads.
